Opening Scene

1099AD SOME MEDIEVAL KINGDOM

INT- THE D’ AMORE CASTLE(DRAWING ROOM)- DAY

ROSALIND is working on a new embroidery piece… She’s bored to tears but what else is she supposed to do… CONSTANZA enters the room with her lunch. Rosalind’s parents are away on a formal visit to a neighbouring kingdom… Her brother, PAOLO, and cousins, LUIGI and EDUARDO are away training for an upcoming military campaign… So is MASSIMO… As for her sister, MARIANNE, she left the kingdom last year to marry in foreign land. Rosalind feels painfully lonely… Surely there’s more to life than embroidery…!

CONSTANZA

Rosa, my dear, your roast beef is waiting. You don’t want it to get cold…

ROSALIND

Don’t call me Rosa!

CONSTANZA

But I always call you Rosa…

ROSALIND

That will have to change from now on.

CONSTANZA

Is something wrong? You seem very uspet… Nothing to do with your brother & cousins I hope…

ROSALIND

No.

CONSTANZA

How about Massimo, any news from him yet?

ROSALIND gets up infuriated…She starts pacing up and down the room. Initially she’s holding her broderie in her hands, but as her anger builts up, she hurls it across the room.

Costanza looks on not knowing what to do or say.

ROSALIND

I haven’t heard from Massimo nor do I wish to!

Costanza picks up Rosalind’s broderie and places it on the table.

CONSTANZA

I ‘ll be in the kitchen if you need me.

Constanza exits the room.

Time

Imagine if you could adjust Time so that things that haven’t happened yet appeared to have happened long ago and vice versa…

Oh, but you canyou can easily adjust time in at least one area of life without worrying about the repercussions…
